Job Description:
- Independently performing all accounting tasks of the company
- Monitoring legal regulations and ensuring compliance with them
- Responsibility for conducting tasks per professional rules and legal requirements
- Cash register and travel expenses management
- Issuing outgoing invoices, maintaining the employer’s prescribed records of outgoing invoices, and collecting payments from customers
- Maintaining records of incoming invoices, verifying their authenticity, and making payments
- Monitoring customer and supplier account balances and reconciling statements
- Booking fixed assets, small inventory items, and depreciation
- Preparation of VAT forms and VAT control
- Preparing reports on financial and accounting activities
- Preparing financial statements
- Creating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by the relevant regulations of the Tax Administration, FINA, and the Croatian National Bank
- Organizing the department’s work related to all accounting functions and tasks
- Other tasks within the scope of work as instructed by the supervisor
- Preparation of group accounting packages
- Continuously monitoring relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma/Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree in economics
- Good knowledge of laws related to accounting, finance, and taxes
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in accounting and finance
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Proactiveness and motivation
- Ability to independently manage company accounts
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (emphasis on Excel)
- Developed communication skills and a friendly attitude towards clients
- Teamwork orientation, analytical thinking, accuracy, and systematic approach
- Proficiency in English
Education: High school diploma, Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree
